This course aims to provide participants with skills and knowledge related to surf awareness, aquatic rescue
operations, communication systems, and equipment and resuscitation.
It is recommended for SLS members who wish to:
• Perform in the role of SLS water safety personnel
• Take on a lifesaving cadetship and join a lifesaving patrol"

Prerequisite:
Candidates must meet the following conditions:
· Financial Club member
· Be at least 13 years of age (within 60 days of final assessment)
· Complete a 200‐metre swim in five (5) minutes or less, unaided (goggles/mask permitted), in a swimming pool of not less than 25 metres, or over a measured open watercourse.

This will be scheduled over the following dates.

Session 1 Saturday 9th December 200‐metre swim in 5min or less.
Followed by board and tube rescues.

10.00am – 11.30am
The remaining session will be at the WSLSC
Session 2 Sunday 17th December Surf Club 10.00 – 12.30
Session 3 Saturday 23rd December Santa
Session 4 Thursday 28th December
Session 5 Saturday 30th December
Session 6 Wednesday 3rd January
Session 7 Sunday 7th January
Session 8 Saturday 13th January

Times will vary.
Please come prepared to be in the water or upstairs (weather depending)
