WE NEED YOU and your parents

At each carnival clubs are to supply officials to help run the program.
It is also a great opportunity for you to get closer to the action when your son/daughter is competing.

We only have 3 officials at this stage and will require more to help out over the coming years.
The more officials we have the less we all have to do.

There is an officials course running Sat 8th Oct. it means you can help at carnivals, learn more about the rules of competition AND you’ll help the club.

Warrnambool is hosting a regional Training Weekend on OCTOBER 8th & 9th. There are important awards for all members to complete, including parents who do not wish to get in the water! All patrolling members should consider completing their First aid and Beach Management awards to help extend their knowledge and skill base.
All parents should consider gaining their First Aid awards, CPR is a very valuable skill to have!! Parents might also like to consider gaining their Officials award to assist at carnivals.

First Aid – a land based award where the only prerequisites are that you must be a minimum 14 years of age and a financial member of a club.
Participants are required to complete a theory workbook prior to attending the training session which must be submitted on the day.
To be held on Saturday 8th October 8.30am-4.30pm

A Level 1 Officials course is also being held on Saturday 8th from 8.30am-1pm and is the necessary award for any members who would like to help officiate a t any carnival. Please email the club with your details if you are interested in this course.
