We are pleased to advise that Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) will be running a Bronze Medallion Course along with Bridging and SRC this season and invite you to register if your interested.

The Bronze Medallion is the core award for surf lifesavers in Australia and equips participants with essential skills in surf awareness, rescue techniques, emergency care, and patrolling. It also enables them to actively participate in summer beach patrols and represent the club in surf sports and also provide water safety for Nippers.

Course Summary
Dates: Sunday, 26 October – Saturday, 20 December 2024
Locations: Jason Lamb Splash Factory (pool sessions) & Warrnambool SLSC
Assessment Date: Saturday, 20 December 2024
Duration: Minimum 38 hours face-to-face training
Attendance: Mandatory for all sessions
Final Assessment: Candidates must demonstrate competence in all areas to receive their Bronze.
Please note: If a candidate does not show competency in all required areas or is unable to attend all sessions without prior communication and approval, we will be unable to award the Bronze Medallion qualification.

Entry Requirements
Must be 15 years of age by the date of final assessment
Must be able to swim 400m in 9 minutes or less (unaided, goggles/mask permitted)
Must be a financial member of a Surf Life Saving Club
Must attend all scheduled sessions

This course is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop lifesaving, leadership, and teamwork skills that support both personal growth and community service.
